Lokayukta police raids residence of top MPEB official

The Lokayukta Special Police Establishment today raided the residence of Additional General Manager of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company Limited of Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board Pradeep Choudhary and found details of property worth crores of rupees.

The Superintendent of Police (Lokayukta), Siddharth Choudhary told reporters here that the raid began early morning at Choudhary's Saket residence.

The Lokayukta SP said that as per the documents recovered from Choudhary's house till now, he owns one palatial bungalow in Saket, six flats in Harshwardhan Nagar, three shops, some flats in Bawadiya Kalan area of the city and had also recently bought 30-acres land in Raisen district.
 

Choudhary, however, said that most of the property mentioned by the Lokayukta police was his ancestral property, while some have been purchased by him during service.

According to the Lokayukta police, Choudhary was initially reluctant to cooperate with the team but relented after seeing the media persons at the spot.
