Lokayukta police today raided three premises of a veterinary officer, who is accused of amassing wealth, disproportionate to his known sources of income.
"We raided three places including the residence of Dr Sharique Mohammad Sheikh, assistant surgeon and administrative officer of veterinary department following complaint against him for indulging in corruption and amassing wealth," a Lokayukta officer said.
"Besides, we also raided the house of the in-charge of Indore Municipal Corporation-run Zoo Dr Uttam Yadav, the alleged business partner of Sheikh," he added.

The raids have disclosed that Sheikh and his wife and relatives own three houses, three tracts of lands, two agriculture lands, a goat farm, a farm house, hotel at Pachmarhi hill station in Hoshangabad district and three four wheelers, he added.
The official said that during the raid at Sheikh's house, Rs 1.25 lakh in cash and gold jewellery worth nearly Rs 11 lakh was seized.
He said they have got hold of documents disclosing that the veterinary officer was having 10 banks accounts and claimed that the accused has amassed huge wealth.
The official said that Sheikh has joined veterinary department in 1997 and he has fetched Rs 70 lakh as salary so far.
"We are calculating his income disproportionate to his known sources of income, the officer said.
The veterinary officer has been booked under the relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
