A British soldier, who was beheaded in a terror attack nearly a week ago, died of "multiple incised wounds" after being attacked by terrorists on a street here, a post-mortem examination found today.
The finding was issued as Scotland Yard made a fresh appeal for information after the 25-year-old Drummer Lee Rigby's killing in Woolwich in south-east London on May 22.
An inquest into Rigby's death will open at Southwark Coroner's Court in London on Friday, police said.

Michael Adebowale, 22, who remains in custody at a south London police station, was discharged from hospital yesterday.
He will later be questioned by the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command.
Michael Adebolajo, 28, the second suspect who was also shot by police at the scene, remains in hospital.
Scotland Yard has said that the men would not be questioned until they had been discharged from hospital.
Rigby was walking towards the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich when he was struck by a car and then attacked.
Police are calling for information on the blue Vauxhall Tigra that hit Rigby last Wednesday afternoon.
Detectives are also handing out leaflets in Woolwich in the hope of finding further witnesses who have not come forward.
"Seven days ago Lee Rigby was murdered in an act of violence that was shocking and horrific. Our thoughts are with Lee's family and friends at this very difficult time for them. A fast-paced and complex investigation is now under way led by detectives from the Met's counter-terrorism command", Commander Simon Letchford said during a visit to the crime scene today.
"As part of that investigation, officers are asking for the public's help. We need to hear from anyone who may have seen Lee being attacked or who may have any other information that may help, he said.
British police have so far arrested 10 people in connection with the investigation.
Yesterday, police said a 50-year-old man had been "bailed to a later date pending further inquiries".
Five other persons have been bailed and two released without charge.
