Polling for a single municipal corporation in Chhattisgarh will be held tomorrow in which 78,707 voters are eligible to vote for electing a mayor and corporators for 40 wards.
The preparations have been done for the Birgaon municipal corporation election and thepollingparties have reached their destination amid tight security, a state election official told PTI.
As many as 79 polling booths have been set up for the polling which will be held from 8 AM to 5 PM, he said.

These include 43,666 male and 35,041 female voters.
The polls are being seen as a litmus test for the ruling BJP which is at the helm of affairs in the state since the last 12 years.
Notably, Congress had put up a good showin the civic body elections in Chhattisgarh in 2014-15, winning four out of 10municipalcorporations while the ruling BJP reduced to four, two less than from last time.
Besides, rest of the two seats was won by independent candidates, including a eunuch candidate.
However, the election was not held in then newly-formed Birgaon municipal corporation.
This time tussle is mainly between BJP and Congress.
The result would be announced onNovember 19.
