Looter arrested

Dungdung, who carried a reward of Rs 20,000 on his head, was arrested from Kolebira area of Simdega district, police today said.

Addressing a press conference here today, Superintendent of Police, Rajeev Ranjan said Dungdung had been committing crimes since 2008 soon after he completed matriculation.

He was involved in cases of road robbery, petrol pump loot in Simdega and adjoining Sundergarh district of Odisha.

Police recovered a country-made pistol, two cartridges and a mobile phone from his possession, Ranjan added.
