A gold crown of Shiva Linga at the Kedarnath temple, which went missing after the June calamity, has been recovered from a rest house near the Himalayan shrine, the temple committee said today.

The crown worth lakhs of rupees and weighing 500-600 gms was recovered when the rest house staff was cleaning its premises, Badrinath-Kedarnath Mandir Samiti Chairman Ganesh Godiyal told PTI.

The crown used to adorn the Shiv Linga in the sanctum sanatorium of the ancient temple during 'arti' (prayers) every evening, he said.
