Refined soya oil prices moved down by 0.17 per cent to Rs 627.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders trimmed positions, driven by easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June declined by Rs 1.10, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 627.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 21,460 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in July shed 40 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 632.70 per 10 kg in 52,250 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders due to fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions mainly led to the slide in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
