Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc prices shed 0.13 per cent to Rs 230.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators cut bets, taking weak cues from the spot market on tepid demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in February edged down by 30 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 230.80 per kg in business turnover of 185 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in March contracts was trading lower by a similar margin to Rs 229.80 per kg in 44 lots.

Marketmen said cutting down of positions by traders owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market influenced zinc futures.
