Lower hills of Himachal Pradesh sizzles as mercury rises

The lower hills of Himachal Pradesh sizzled as mercury rose by few notches and the weather remained dry in the region.

Una was hottest in the region with a high of 42.2 degrees Celsius, 4.5 degrees above normal, according to MeT office here.

Nahan and Sundernagar recorded maximum temperatures of 35.8 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Solan was recorded 32.7 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar 31.8 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 31.6 degrees Celsius, Shimla 27.2 degrees Celsius and Kalpa 20.4 degrees Celsius.

Keylong in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district was coldest in the region with minimum temperature of 5.6 degrees Celsius while Kalpa and Manali recorded minimum temperatures of 7 degrees Celsius and 12.0 degrees Celsius respectively.
 

The local MeT office has predicted rains or thundershowers at few places tomorrow and dry weather over next five days.
