With Narendra Modi "becoming the Prime Minister is almost a certainty", the contest in this election was for the second place and also the opposition leader in the Lok Sabha, BJP national secretary P K Krishnadas said today.
The NDA was expected to win more than 300 seats and the 'Modi wave' would push down Congress, which would win about 80 seats, Krishnadas told reporters here.
Even if Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi wins, he has to fight for the post of opposition leader from other aspirants like Samajwadi Party's Mulayam Singh and Trinamool Congress.
