As many as 48 candidates filed their nomination papers Friday in 15 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra which go to the polls in the first two phases next month.
This takes the total number of nominations filed till now to 71 in 16 constituencies.
According to an official release, in the seven constituencies going to the polls on April 11, 43 candidates have filed their papers so far.
In Wardha, six candidates, including, Congress nominee Charusheela Tokas, have filed their papers.
Among other constituencies, the Nagpur seat has received 12 nominations, Yavatmal-Washim (11), Bhandara- Gondiya (6), Gadchiroli-Chimur (4), Ramtek and Chandrapur (2 each), the release said.
In the ten constituencies voting on April 18, Nanded has recived 11 nominations till now, Amravati (5), Parbhani (3), Akola (2), Osmanabad (2), Hingoli (2), Buldhana (1), Beed (1) and Solapur (1), it added.
