Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan today visited the famous Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple here and to offered her prayers.
Mahajan, who arrived at the airport here late last night, was received by Assembly deputy speaker N Shaktan, N K Premachandran MP and a number of other leaders.
The Speaker, who stayed at the Raj Bhavan, reached the temple by 8.30 AM and worshipped there, temple officials said.
Mahajan will inaugurate the President's Trophy Boat Race at Ashtamudi Lake in Kollam district in the afternoon, they said.
