Lt Gen Sahni witnesses army's field exercise in West Raj

South Western Army Commander Lt Gen Arun Kumar Sahni has expressed satisfaction on the combat preparedness of the troops after witnessing the military exercise at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Western Rajasthan.

Sahni was accompanied by Lt Gen P M Hariz, General Officer Commanding Chetak Corps.

The field firing exercise involved all combat elements of 'Ranbankura Division' that included infantry, armour, mechanized infantry and artillery as also live combat firing in a simulated battlefield environment with the accompanying support elements.

"The Commander visited the firing ranges on culmination of the exercise recently," defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Ojha said today.
 

Sahni expressed satisfaction on the combat preparedness and endurance of the participating troops and complimented the Division, for organising realistic training towards ensuring the operational preparedness of the formation.

The Commander also visited Suratgarh Military Station and reviewed the operational preparedness of Sand Viper Brigade.
