Lt Governor and Rangasamy extend Bakrid greetings

Puducherry Lt Governor, Lt General (retired) A K Singh and Chief Minister N Rangasamy today greeted the people on the eve of Bakrid.

In his message, Singh said Id Ul Zuha (Bakrid), also known as Id Ul Qurban, 'is the festival of sacrifices connected with the great pilgrimage of Yamum Ul Adha.'

He wished that the festival strengthened bonds of brotherhood among the people.

Rangasamy said the festival marked the high values and virtues of compassion, sacrifice and humaneness.

AICC General Secretary V.Narayanasamy, Welfare Minister P.Rajavelu, R.Radhakrishnan, MP, and PCC president A Namassivayam were among those who greeted the people.
