: Lt Governor of Puducherry Lt General (retired) A K Singh paid homage at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi here on his 68th death anniversary today.

Teachers of Jawahar Bal Bhavan (a cultural centre run by Puducherry government) presented patriotic songs on the occasion.
Silence was observed for a couple of minutes by all those present at the venue.
