Lt Governor directs Delhi Police to implement CCTNS project in time-bound manner

Lt Governor Anil Baijal Thursday directed Delhi Police to implement its ambitious Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) project in a time-bound manner, an official statement stated.

Baijal, who held a review meeting on the law and order situation with senior officers of the Delhi government and police, said benefits of the CCTNS project must accrue in the form of better service delivery to the citizens.

"The Lt Governor directed Delhi Police that implementation of the CCTNS project should be carried out in a time-bound manner and the stipulated deadlines for different activities be fixed and strictly adhered to," the L-G office said in a statement.

 

During the meeting, Special Commissioner (Crime) Satish Golcha informed officials about the present status of project implementation.

He said phase 1 of the CCTNS project will be completed by November 30, 2018.

Currently, Delhi Police is amongst the top most police forces in the implementation of the project, the statement added.
