Lucas-TVS Jt MD Arvind Balaji appointed ACMA President

Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) today announced appointment of Arvind Balaji, Joint Managing Director Lucas-TVS Ltd, as its President.

The industry body of auto parts makers also said Rattan Kapur, Chairman & Managing Director, Mark Exhaust Systems Ltd has been appointed as the Vice President for the term 2015-16.

Commenting on the appointments, ACMA Director General, Vinnie Mehta, said, "We are pleased to welcome Arvind Balaji, as the new President of ACMA. Being from the automotive and finance background, Arvind Balaji brings a wealth of knowledge and focus required to steer the association."

He will help achieve the envisioned goal of ACMA to make India a global auto component manufacturing hub, Mehta added.
 

On his new role, Balaji said: "I take this as an opportunity to add value -- build and expand the operations in the right direction to help the industry achieve its 'Make in India' aspirations.
