Save Lucknow Forum (SLF), a citizens' initiative to preserve social and cultural heritage of Lucknow, today sought Congress Leader and MLA Rita Bahuguna Joshi's help in improving various amenities in the city
In a memorandum presented to Joshi, SLF demanded construction of a new platform at main Charbagh Lucknow junction station to decongest traffic on the main road and a new superfast inter-city train between Lucknow and Gorakhpur via Faizabad-Ayodhya to promote tourism in the region, the forum media adviser Ratan Sharga said.
The forum has also demanded construction of public toilets in Chowk market, globally renowned for Chikan garments, he said.
While assuring full support, Joshi said she will take up the issues with respective ministries.
