Lupin appoints Thierry Volle as President of EMEA business

Drug major Lupin has appointed Thierry Volle as President of Europe, the Middle-East & Africa (EMEA) with immediate effect.

Volle will be responsible for the company's growth and development in Europe, Russia & CIS, and the Middle-East and African markets, Lupin today said in a statement.

He will be based at the company's European headquarters at Zug, Switzerland.

"His rich knowledge and experience in developing and growing businesses, specifically specialty pharmaceuticals in EMEA, will help us with our strategic expansion plans for these markets," Vinita Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Lupin Ltd said.

Volle joins Lupin from Vifor Pharma where he was the head of the EU and International business operations. Prior to that, he was at Wyeth.
 

Last month, the Mumbai-based firm appointed Martin Mercer as President of its Latin American business. It had also appointed Fabrice Egros as President, Asia Pacific and Japan.
