UK-based Luxury Hotels Group -- a collection of global hospitality properties -- plans to have a membership of up to 30 hotels in the country in next two years as part of its expansion plans in the country.
"We plan to have 30 hotels as our members in next two years," Luxury Hotels Group Regional Director Asia Naresh Chandnani told PTI.
The hotels will be in luxury and mid-market segments, he added.

The group also helps these hotels with personalised approach and marketing to ensure that they get high net worth individuals, she added.
While the premium hotels, flagship properties would be under the Luxury Hotels Group brand, mid-market hotels which are mainly 3-stars and 4-stars, will be under the Ideal Hotels brand.
"We are looking at having up to 4 luxury hotels under our Luxury Hotels Group portfolio and between 25 to 26 hotels under Ideal Hotels portfolio," Chandnani said.
Commenting on the strategy the company plans to take in India, Luxury Hotels Group Middle East and Asia Business Development Director Sarah Marron said: "We will provide competitive advantage to hotel owners through brand prestige and global operating scale, sales and marketing and revenue management support."
India is one of the major market for the Luxury Hotels Group, she added.
When asked about the locations the company is looking for memberships, Chandnani said: "Apart from the metros we are looking at leisure destinations, state capitals, tier II and tier III cities."
The other benefits of being a member of Luxury Hotels Group are e-marketing, preferred travel industry partnerships, inclusion in the annual directory and use of private label Global Distribution System, he added.
