Actress Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman's role in the 1975 television show, has congratulated actress Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins on the success of the female superhero film at the box office.
"Wonder Woman", which is currently in cinema halls, had the highest opening numbers for a film directed by a woman.
"Wonder Woman is breaking box office records!!! Bravo, Patty Jenkins! Bravo, Gal Gadot! Bravo, Chris Pine!," Carter tweeted.

Responding to a fan's question about the lack of a cameo by Carter in the movie, Jenkins said, "Oh we tried, tried, tried. And we won't stop trying.
