All India Anti Terrorist Front Chairman M S Bitta today lodged a complaint with Delhi Police alleging that JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar has made "objectionable remarks" against the Indian Army.

In his complaint lodged with Vasant Kunj North police station here, Bitta alleged that after being granted interim bail Kanhaiya had used allegedly derogatory remarks against the Army in order to "gain cheap publicity".

"In case Kanhaiya Kumar has any evidence which can prove that some of the security personnel are involved in any rape case then as per the fundamental duties enshrined under the Constitution of India, it is his prime duty to provide the said proofs or evidence to the police and to file a complaint at the concerned police station...," the complaint said.

He alleged that the student leader is not only demeaning the Army but is also "misguiding" the youth.

Police said they have received the complaint and they are looking into it.

Mayank Tiwari, who is said to be a BJP worker, has alleged that the JNUSU president had said "in Kashmir army men detain women and rape them".
