Hundreds of Kerala-based PDP workers along with two sons of Abdul Nasser Madani, lodged in Bangalore prison in connection with the 2008 serial bomb blast case, today held a dharana in front of the secretariat here demanding the state government intervention's for 'justice' to their leader.

Madani's sons Omar Mukthar and Salahuddeen Ayyoobu and others squatted in front of the secretariat demanding justice to their father, claiming he was falsely implicated in the case.

A five-member delegation along with Ayyoobu met Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at the Medical College Hospital and submitted a memorandum seeking state government's intervention in the matter, PDP General Secretary Sabu Kottarakara said.

A reinvestigation into Bangalore blast case by an independent agency was one of PDP's main demands, he said.

Chandy responded positively to PDP's demand, he claimed.

The dharna was organised jointly by Kerala Muslim Samyukta Vedai and PDP.
