There is no problem between India and Nepal that could not be resolved if both the sides show sincere desire to find the solution for the pending issue, former Nepalese prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said today.
Nepal's remarks came at a symposium on "PM Modi's visit to Nepal: A Futuristic View".
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Nepal on May 11 and 12.
Speakers at the symposium described Modi's two-day state visit to Nepal as a great success stressing on the need for implementing the agreements signed between Nepal and India to the benefit of both the countries.
They also underlined the need for forging collaboration between Nepal and India for promotion of tourism and development of trade and hydro electricity power.
Former prime minister Nepal said that there is a huge potential to further enhance Indo-Nepal relations in the context of Modi's visit.

Nepal said that the visit was ice breaker and pointed out that there is no problem between the two countries that could not be resolved if both the sides show sincere desire to resolve the pending issues.
Nepal said that India and Nepal need to move forward with positive mindset to fulfill past resolutions.
Addressing the function organised by Nepal-India Friendship Society, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri said the concept of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" pursued by prime minister Modi and the concept of "Samridh Nepal, Sukhi Nepali" floated by Nepal Prime Minister K P Oli can be supplementary to each other for the benefit of people of both the countries.
Senior Nepali Congress leader and former Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat said that Modi's visit has helped to renew bilateral ties highlighted special bonding between the two countries.
He said that India being a rising global power can be a great source of capital investment and development for Nepal.
Rashtriya Janta Party Nepal's leader Rajendra Mahto said that Nepal-India relations are very special.
