Madhya Pradesh Food and Civil Supplies Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah said that electronic ration cards (food stamps) would soon be made and there would be surveillance through cameras or CCTVs at all distribution centres.

Shah said that the MP government would soon put in place a stringent surveillance management system to check corruption and enable the poor.

He said that no corruption would be tolerated in the food and civil supplies department, and all scheduled caste and scheduled tribe people would get five kilograms of corn at the rate of one rupee per person from April 1 next year, he said.

He said that the food and civil supplies department plans to build warehouses in villages to make farmers economically strong.

Open warehouses would be built so that poor farmers may safely store their crop at a cost of only one rupee per bag.
