Madhya Pradesh state government transfers 77 IPS officials

The Madhya Pradesh government transferred 77 Indian Police Service (IPS) officials here today and posted Raman Singh as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Bhopal.

Earlier, Raman Singh was posted as Sehore district Superintendent of Police, a senior Mantralaya (state secretariat) official said.

Singh has replaced Sriniwas Verma as the SSP of Bhopal, while Verma has been promoted and posted as Inspector General (IG) Rewa Range, the official said, adding that Maithili Sharan Gupt has been posted as Director General (DG) of Home Guards.

The official said that Gupt has been replaced by Anuradha Shankar Singh as Special Director General of Police, Railways.
 

A total of 77 IPS officials including SPs of Sehore, Gwalior, Ratlam, Shajapur, Jabalpur, Datia, Satna and Shahdol among others were affected in the reshuffle, the official said.

Senior IPS official Rishi Kumar Shukla has been posted as Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Board, while V K Maheshwari has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Indore, he said.

Senior IPS officer Ashok Dohre has been promoted as Special Director General of Police, Cyber Cell, Bhopal.

Earlier, he was posted as ADGP at the same place, he said.

Mohammad Shahid Absar has been posted as IG Planning at Police Head Quarters (PHQ), the official said.
