Madison Media bags Lafarge India's account

Platinum Media, a part of Madison Media Group has bagged the account of Lafarge India in Kolkata in a multi-agency pitch.

While Madison Media did not reveal the tenure and value of the contract, it in a statement said that the account would be handled by its Kolkata office.

According to sources the contract is valued around Rs 25 crore.

Commenting on the development Platinum Media CEO Basabdatta Chowdhuri said: "We are delighted with this new win and are confident that we can add strategic value in making the Lafarge brand, a household name across the country".

Lafarge India Asst Vice President Aniruddha Sinha said: " Madison Media has extensive understanding of the Indian media scenario and their approach and innovative media solutions will enable us to drive impactive media presence across our audience segments".
 

The French major Lafarge has been in the Indian market for close to 15 years and operates in cement, aggregates and concrete business. PTI KRH

Corporation Bank-Geojit sign MOU

* Corporation Bank today signed an agreement with Geojit BNP Paribas to offer the bank's customers with a facility to seamlessly open 3-in-1 integrated accounts, comprising a Bank account, a Demat account and Trading account with Geojit.

The agreement was inked in keeping with the company's policy of building reach through partnerships with reputed banks, a press release said.

The MOU was signed by B N Shenoy, General Manager, Corporation Bank and Satish Menon, Executive Director of Geojit BNP Paribas at the Geojit BNP Paribas Head Office here.

With this agreement, the Corporation Bank's retail clients will now have access to an uninterrupted, hassle-free online trading platform for equities, derivatives, IPOs and Mutual Funds.

B N Shenoy said the signing of MOU was an important step towards providing a seamless integration of wealth management products to its over 180 lakh customers.

The coming together of a 108-year-old Bank and a reputed stock broking firm like Geojit BNP Paribas would enable its customers to enjoy money market as well as capital market experience with delight, he said.

Speaking about the agreement with Corporation Bank, Satish Menon said the association would help Geogit to reach out to a wider client base and offer them with a superior trading experience.

Through Geojit BNP Paribas' Online Trading Platform, Corporation Bank's clients will be able to set aside funds in their bank account to purchase shares, view their bank balances and monitor their Demat holdings with ease.

They will also be provided with an exclusive toll-free number to contact the Call Centre team.
