The Madras High Court today granted conditional bail to T T V Bhaskaran, nephew of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's aide Sasikala, in connection with a cheating case.
Justice B Rajendran also directed Bhaskaran to furnish a surety for Rs one lakh and two other sureties for like sum and to appear before the Investigating Officer for a period of two weeks.
Bhaskaran had moved the High Court seeking bail, after he was arrested by the Central Crime Branch on June 6, based on a cheating complaint filed by Dharamchand Jain and Prakash.
Jain alleged that Bhaskaran had cheated him after receiving Rs 1.30 crore on the promise of arranging for 290 acres of land at Mannur near Sriperumbudur.
