All India Magic Federation's President and famous magician, Jadugar Anand here today said that he wished to prepare world class magicians by opening an academy in Jabalpur or Bhopal.
"I am planning to set up National Magic Academy to prepare new artists in this field so that name of Madhya Pradesh and India would be known at the international level," Anand, who has staged over 30,000 shows in 36 countries, told reporters.
He said he would meet the state Chief Minister to discuss on the issue.

Anand will be staging magic shows in the state capital after a gap of 15 years from November 21 for a fortnight at the Central Library Ground.
The noted magician said that since he belongs to Jabalpur, he is planning to set up the first academy either in Jabalpur or Bhopal.
Later, similar facility will be established in Gwalior and Indore.
Anand also demanded from the state government to recognise magic, which has always been in vogue since the ancient time as an art in the state, so that it can be encouraged.
