Bottom-placed Mumbai Magicians today admitted that inconsistency had led to three consecutive losses in the 2nd Hockey India League, but said the team has rectified their mistakes ahead of the clash against Ranchi Rhinos here tomorrow.

"It is frustrating and disappointing for us, losing the previous three games," Glenn Turner, who will captain the Magicians, said in a pre-match press conference.

"To be honest, the first two games were played against good opposition. What we can do is we can give 100 per cent and work as hard as we can to get some win with whatever strategy is given," he said.

Magicians have just three points from as many games while the Rhinos have won two of their three matches and lost one.

Coach M K Kaushik said the team had problems in defense which it will look to sort out.

"We played good hockey in the first two quarters of the first match, but the consistency was missing. We had some problems in defence, so that all the goals were conceded," Kaushik said.

"We would like to play a good game. We had made some mistakes. We have rectified that and trying to give our best tomorrow," he said.

Asked whether his team lacked coordination with foreign players, he said, "It is not the case as every team has that combination. We made mistakes in defence and some in forward.
