At least five persons, including a city magistrate, were injured when a protest by members of Swadheenata Mission turned violent, police said today.
City Magistrate Hem Singh, SHO Sadar Bazar Pradeep Pandey and three other policemen were injured last night in brick-batting by the activists of Swadheenata Mission after police prevented them from erecting a structure on government land, Dy SP Ajai Pal Sharma said.
The activists are on an indefinite dharna for the last over one year here demanding death certificate of Baba Jai Gurudeo, whom they claim to be as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

A case has been registered against them, Pal said.
On the other hand, the protesters allege that they were subjected to police atrocity and claimed that four of the activists were injured due to police lathicharge.
