As a part of its preparations for the Maharashtra Assembly polls, Congress today announced that region-wise meetings of local leaders would be held in Marathwada, Vidarbha and Western Maharashtra.
The meeting for Marathwada region will be held in Aurangabad on July 22, it said.
Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Congress general secretary Mohan Prakash and state unit chief Manikrao Thakre would be present at these meetings where campaign strategy would be discussed.
The party has already held preparatory meetings for these three regions in Mumbai.
