The State Assembly today congratulated Maharashtra Kesari Vijay Choudhary for his hat-trick in the state wrestling championship.
Moving the congratulatory resolution in the Lower House, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, "Choudhary who hails from Jalgaon belongs to a family of wrestlers and he will soon be absorbed in the state government services."
Choudhary who won the coveted title in the year 2014, 2015 in Nagpur and recently in Pune, was offered the job last year but due to some formalities, his appointment was delayed.
Fadnavis said his appointment is almost final.
Opposition Leader in lower House Radhakrishna Vikhe- Patil also joined Fadnavis in congratulating the wrestler and informed the House that his father Natthu Choudhary was also a wrestler and encouraged his son to take up the sport.
