Maha: Bhagwan Rishabdev statue to be installed in Mangi Tungi

A 108-feet-tall statue of 'Bhagwan Rishabdev' will be installed at the pilgrim town of Mangi Tungi in the district by the Jain community members during February 11-17.

Police have stepped up security for the event where 'mahamastakabhishek' (religious) ceremony on the statue will be also be performed.

BJP president Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis are among the several dignitaries likely to visit Mangi Tungi during February 11-17.

The Convener committee of Mangi Tungi trust has sent invitations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Suresh Prabhu, Shah and Fadnavis among others.

District guardian minister Girish Mahajan, Divisional Commissioner Eknath Davle, District Collector Dipendrasinh Kushwah and other top police officials reviewed arrangements at Mangi Tungi.
