The executive committee of the Maharashtra BJP will meet here on July 21 to discuss preparations for the Assembly elections.
Assembly elections are due in Maharashtra in October.
BJP working president J P Nadda will attend the meeting, state finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar told PTI.
There would be deliberations on planning and allocation of campaign duties, he added.
Senior party leader and state revenue minister Chandrakant Patil had said earlier the BJP and its ally Shiv Sena will contest 135 seats each, while the remaining 18 seats will be alloted to other allies.
In the just-concluded Lok Sabha elections, the BJP and Sena won 41 out of the 48 parliamentary seats in Maharashtra.
In 2014, the two parties had contested the assembly polls separately. The BJP had won 122 and the Sena 63 seats.
