Maha CM calls on newly appointed Guv

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan called on Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan here this morning.

This was the first meeting between the Chief Minister and the Governor since the latter took charge on August 30, a Raj Bhavan statement released here today said.

The meeting lasted for nearly 35 minutes, it said.

Vidyasagar replaced K Sankaranarayanan, who resigned from his post after being transferred to Mizoram.
