Maha CM chairs review meeting of senior state police officers

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today chaired the half-yearly review meeting of senior state police officials including Commissioners of Police and Superintendents of Police.

"Progress in deradicalisation, increase in rate of conviction, reducing crime rate were discussed in meeting. MoS Deepak Kesarkar was present," Fadnavis tweeted.

"Rule of law is the most important thing for development of a person, of the society and of democracy; we all need to strictly abide by it," he said.

"CM advocates for efficient use of CCTNS data analytics, use of cyber labs and stressed for more focus on scientific evidence. CM announced grant of 1 month basic salary as a remuneration to all the police officials & employees working on election duty since 2014," the Chief Minister's Office said in series of tweets.
 

"All other dept employees used to get such remuneration for election duty except police department personnel. It is 1st time in the history that because of such decision by a Chief Minister, Maharashtra police personnel has benefited this way," it further tweeted.
