Maha CM for increasing no of procurement centres of 'tur dal'

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today asked concerned authorities to increase the number of 'tur dal' procurement centres and asked NAFED to act as the authorised agency.

Fadnavis chaired a meeting with officials of marketing dept, National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd.(NAFED) and gave directives with respect to 'tur dal' (pulses) purchase.

The Chief Minister asked to increase 'tur' purchase centres at all places irrespective of distance and asked NAFED to act as authorised agency, an official statement said.

While giving relief to farmers, Fadnavis also directed for extension to all the centres and release of pending payments within 7 days.
 

Maharashtra Ministers Girish Mahajan, Sadabhau Khot, Subhash Deshmukh were present, it added.
