Maha CM for upgrading health infra

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today underlined the need to upgrade health infrastructure through public participation.

"The problem of steep costs of medical treatment and medicines can be resolved through co-operative basis," Fadnavis said at the golden jubilee of Sushrusha Citizens Co-operative Hospital Ltd at suburban Vikhroli.

He said a public service initiative would be successful if implemented with a sense of trusteeship.

"Co-operative sector is huge and requires people's participation. Now, public participation is required," the CM said assuring government's assistance to hospital.

On payment of Rs 10,000, husband, wife and their two children, until they reach 21, get a concession of 10 per cent in availing hospital services, while senior citizens get the concession of 35 per cent.
