Maha CM raises CRZ related matters with Vardhan

Maharashtra Chief Minister today met Union ministers Harsh Vardhan and Narendra Singh Tomar to seek their assistance in addressing state-related issues such as clearance for CRZs and release of MNREGA payments.

Fadnavis also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with tribal students from Chandrapur district who scaled the Mount Everest last month.

In his meeting with Environment and Forest Minister Vardhan, Fadnavis raised the issues related to Coastal Regulation Zone clearance in Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri districts and suburban Mumbai.

The two had a discussion on the permission given by the Environment Ministry to the state to construct houses for the poor on shrubby forests in the state.

 

Fadnavis then met Union Rural Development Minister Tomar, asking for his approval for building 7,94,030 houses under the Pradhan Manti Awas Yojana.

He also demanded the release of Rs 438 crore under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.
