Maharashtra Legislative Council today witnessed repeated adjournments amid stormy scenes as the opposition members raised the issues related to farmers.
After the Upper House reassembled following two adjournments of 20 and 30 minutes respectively in the morning session, Congress and NCP members came into the well of the House and raised the issues.
Amid the din, Chairperson Shivajirao Deshmukh started to take up the Question Hour.

But, the opposition members remained firm on their demand for a discussion on the issues of farmers and drought situation in the state, following which the Council was adjourned for 15 minutes.
When the House assembled again, the opposition members continued to raise their demands, prompting the Chairperson to adjourn the session for another 40 minutes.
