The other retiring members are - Congress - Dr Sudhir Tambe (Nashik Graduates) and Amarnath Rajurkar (Nanded local authorities); BJP - Ranjit Patil (Amravati Graduates) and Gurumukh Das Jagwani (Jalgaon local authorities) and two Independents supporting the BJP are - Nago Ganar (Nagpur teachers) and Ramnath Mote (Konkan teachers).
It now remains to be seen whether the BJP renominates Ranjit Patil for the election to Amravati division Graduates constituency.
The candidature of former Revenue minister Eknath Khadse's staunch supporter Gurumukh Das Jagwani is also under cloud, as he had recently obtained details of the ostensible phone calls allegedly made by underworld fugitive Dawood Ibrahim's phone in Karachi to Khadse's number.
