Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagar Rao will inaugurate the Champions Tennis League (CTL) which will be held at Kalina campus in suburban Mumbai in November.

The Governor yesterday accepted the invitation for the event extended to him by tennis veteran Vijay Amritraj who called on the former at his official residence here, an official said.

The CTL tournament will be organised from November 23 and December 6.

The official further said that Amritraj also assured the governor of his full cooperation in organising an international polo tournament at Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra which will help bring the hill station on the world map of tourism.

The CTL, founded in 2014, was the brainchild of Amritraj and was styled on cricket's Indian Premier League.
