Maha govt can take up new irrigation projects: Governor

Maharashtra government is free to take up new irrigation projects if the resources are available, Governor K Sankaranarayanan said here today.

"There is no question of the governor stopping the government from taking up new projects," he said, speaking at the felicitation of outstanding engineers from various departments of the state government.

The governor said he has, however, advised the government to take a regular review of ongoing projects and focus on completing those nearing completion.
