Mathadi workers are those who carry loads on their head.

Chavan said earlier the FSI was 1.33 on 58 acre area in Chembur and Wadala, situated in the central suburbs. Now, it will be 2.5 and the decision would be implemented from September.

He was responding to the query from Pravin Darekar (MNS) on why the construction work had not started on the housing complex for the last one-and-a-half year.

The building plan will be readied soon, he added.

FSI is the ratio of the total floor area of buildings on a certain location to the size of the land of that location, or the limit imposed on such a ratio.
