Maha govt to appoint PR agencies to reach out to people

Maharashtra government has decided to rope in private public relations agencies to make people aware of its policies and decisions.

A Government Resolution issued by the General Administrative Department stated that the agencies will also be asked to collect feedback from people upto the village level to further improve the system.

It stated that the government has appointed a committee under the director general of information and public relation (DGIPR) department to develop a system to collect feedback.

"The committee will study and submit its detailed report to the government on how the feedback system would work," it stated

"It has been decided to appoint PR agencies which will make people aware about the policies and decisions and also collect feedback from them in terms of suggestions, modifications or lacunae in the current system so that the system improves further," the GR stated.
