"With a view to give financial security and improve the standard of living of sugarcane harvesting workers in the unorganised sector, the government has decided to constitute the Board for Sugarcane Harvesting Workers under the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and other Manual Workers Act, 1969," the Governor said.

It would be named as 'Loknete Gopinath Munde Maharashtra Sugarcane Harvesting and Carting and other Unprotected Manual Workers Board'.

It is also proposed to construct a grand memorial of late Munde at Aurangabad, he said.
