Maha govt to use social media for dengue awareness

Maharashtra government has decided to take help of the social media to create awareness about the dengue epidemic, which has claimed 26 lives in the state so far.

At a review meeting, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asked the authorities to rope in celebrities to assist the administration in awareness programme.

He also asked the authorities to incorporate the dengue awareness programme in cleanliness drive, which will begin from November 14.

In the municipal corporation areas there are 2,600 patients of dengue while in rural areas, 2,700 patients have been detected with dengue.
