MNS chief Raj Thackeray has charged the Maharashtra government with working on directives of the Centre.

The previous Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra functioned on the directives of its high command in Delhi and now the present BJP-led state government is also functioning on the directions of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre, Thackeray said while addressing a one-day convention of his party's Veej Kamgar Sena here yesterday.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is doing what BJP President Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are asking him to do, he further said.

All allies in the state government are busy fighting with each other which is leading to the real problems getting neglected, the MNS leader said.

During his visit here, Thackeray also attended a book exhibition organised by the Nashik unit of MNS before returning to Mumbai in the evening.
