Maha Guv assures cooperation to make Karimnagar a 'smart city'

Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao today said he will extend full cooperation in making Karimnagar a 'smart city'.

"I will extend my cooperation to make Karimnagar a 'smart city'," Rao said here after he was felicitated at a function here.

He said that the bridge at Kaleshwaram in the district would be completed by August this year and it will facilitate transportation between the city and Maharashtra.

Earlier, Rao participated in a programme under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Karimnagar headquarters hospital premises and also laid the foundation stone for municipal sheds complex.

Telangana finance minister Eatala Rajender, local MP B Vinod Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
 

Earlier, he also participated in programmes at Basara temple town of Adilabad district.
